We have the trailer loaded and ready to leave for Wamac, IL that will be today and Saturday. We competed in this contest last year and got reserve champion. I hope we can do as good if not better than last year. Will keep you posted.

On August 26, 2009 we went vending at the Downtown Springfield BBQ & Blues Festival. It was a great event and very successful. The organizer estimated attendance to be over ten thousand. There were large crowds and sales were very brisk. The blues music played on till midnight Saturday. We had some local help and help from the Riverton Dance Team. We will be there next year for sure. We competed in the 17th Street Bar & Grill BBQ contest again this year in Murphysboro, IL. It is one of the best contests on the Kansas City Barbecue Society contest circuit and keeps getting better. It was a dual contest again this year with both Kansas City Barbecue Society and Memphis Barbecue Network competition. We entered both contest this year and the highlight was coming in 5th place in Whole Hog and 2nd place in Ribs. Mike Mills and his crew do a great job and sure make you feel at home.
